Days 256 to 270
The last few weeks of September were days 256 through 270 of my 365 project. Here are the thumbnails (click one to see scroll them in a larger version):
The stories behind (some of) the images
My children used to have this bizarre notion that if they pretended they were asleep I wouldn't see them or ask them to do some chore. As they got older it evolved into a sort of family joke where when I look at them they just stop what they're doing and pretend to be asleep. This is what my son is doing in this pic when I pointed my camera at him. What a goof!
It was still hitting triple-digits outside in downtown Phoenix but the air conditioning in my office had me wearing gloves just to type! On this day it hovered at 71.6 degrees Fahrenheit but some days it got down to 68f!
Some of you may recognize Huckleberry Hound - it was from a popular cartoon in the 1960's and 1970's in the U.S. (part of "Yogi and Friends"). This lunchbox belonged to my boyfriend from his elementary school days when he carried it to school every day.
Both of my boys have their Birthdays the end of September so I took them out to dinner and actually got them to smile for me without making goofy faces.
Picked up this great looking old trunk at a local auction. Such character it has!
For years, starting when he was 6 years old, my oldest son played ice hockey. this is his "trophy case" - a shelf in his bedroom - displaying some of his favority goalie pads, a helmet and, of course, trophies.
Me, on the other side of the camera. I don't wear dresses too often these days but this day decided to do it, so figured I would get photographic evidence to mark the day.
This was a submission to a Polaroid contest where the theme was "three." I took this image with my Polaroid Spectra system and film from The Impossible Project.
